Central Jersey Summer Lacrosse League

Dear Lacrosse Enthusiast,

There will be a high school summer lacrosse league starting June 2002.  It is the Central Jersey Summer Lacrosse League. Games will be played on the grounds of Mercer County Community Park.  The league will play on Tuesday and Thursday nights on side by side fields. Wednesday evenings will be set aside for make up games due to inclement weather.

There are two NEW registration dates: May 6th and June 3rd. Registration will take place at the Ewing Township Municipal Building, Ewing Township, between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. You may also register by mailing your application form and waiver release form to:

The registration fee for participants is $150.00. Checks should be made payable to CJSLL. Players who possess a U.S. Lacrosse Membership will receive a $15.00 discount with proof of membership and an I.D. member number.  All participants will be provided with insurance coverage by U.S. Lacrosse.

Each team must have two coaches.  There will be an information session for all coaches. This meeting will be determined at a later date, closer to the start of the season.

Game times are scheduled for 6:00 p.m. and 7:15 p.m.  All games will be officiated by veteran high school officials.  There will be a certified trainer on site at all games.

The season will begin on Tuesday, June 25, 2002 and end Thursday, August 1, 2002.

Playoff games shall be scheduled the last week of the season with the first place team receiving trophies.  An award for MVP will be given to one player as voted by the coaches.

A league practice shirt and a reversible game jersey will be given to each participant.  Specific rules and regulations shall be available to players during registration.  The players must provide a copy of their birth certificate, as players must reach 15 years of age by June 15, 2002, to be eligible.  Players who reach age 19 before August 20, 2002, will not be eligible.
