Termination of a Game
NJILOA Officials must know this cold
The following actions should be taken prior to any game being terminated:
- Coaches/Players should be penalized for misconduct.
- A warning to all parties that continued problems may result in the game being terminated.
The decision to terminate a contest must be guided by the following:
- Safety and welfare shall be the main consideration in the decision.
Officials should confer with the game administrator and inform the coaches of the decision.
The Referee will submit a detailed report of all events to the following parties:
- NJSIAA
- League President
- Principal of both schools
IF ANY OFFICIAL DEVIATES FROM THE RULES OUTLINED ABOVE YOU WILL BE SUBJECT
TO DISCIPLINARY ACTION.
NJILL Rule Regarding Early Termination of Game due to Inclement Weather:
If the game is terminated due to inclement whether before the end of the first half the
game will be replayed in its entirety. If the game is terminated before the end of the second half the score of the game is then the final score.
